NORDSCI Article Structure

Introduction of the scientific article

State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results. These sections will be later presented in the full paper.

Material and methods in the main body of the scientific article

Provide sufficient details to allow the work to be reproduced by an independent researcher. Methods that are already published should be summarized, and indicated by a reference. If quoting directly from a previously published method, use quotation marks and also cite the source in brackets (e.g.texttext[1]texttext). Kindly be informed that the self citatting is only allowed up to 15% all the references cited. Please note that for 8 pages paper (download NORDSCI template) the maximum number of references is 15. For longer papers and specific requirements, please contact NORDSCI publishing department.

A Theory section should extend, not repeat, the background to the article already dealt with in the Introduction and lay the foundation for further work.

Results should be clear and concise. Provide final results of your research study, based on the methodology used and calculations made.

This should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate. Avoid extensive citations and discussion of published literature.

The main conclusions of the study and it results should be presented in a short Conclusions section, which may stand alone or form a subsection of a Discussion or Results and Discussion section.

  • Define abbreviations that are not standard in brackets and also if in Abbreviations section before the references, if needed.  Abbreviations should be kept to a minimum. Use of standard abbreviations is acceptable.

  • Collate acknowledgements in a separate section at the end of the article before the references.

  • If the article is financially supported, please indicate this in the acknowledgements section. List funding sources in this standard way to facilitate compliance to funder's requirements: Funding: This work was supported by the National association for women sciences, Poland [grant numbers aaaa, bbbb]; the Polish national Foundation, Warsaw, Poland [grant number cccc];

  • All tables and figures must be numbered. All figures and images should be prepared in Full Colour! Keep in mind, that all graphics, photographs and pictures will be black & white in the printed copy of the Conference Proceedings.
